Today, I got cornered and subsequently chased by two tom turkeys. Mean bastards. But Jenn and I had a good laugh when I awkwardly roared aloud while flailing my arms and legs to scare them off (I should point out that all Jenn’s four year old son has to do in order to scare these turkeys is simply raise his arms above his head).

A bit earlier today, Jenn’s three year old daughter’s logic made the most sense during a brief discussion about what a whale “is” (mammal, fish, aquatic, etc). Chloe said, “A whale is a whale.” She often talks to me about her ideas, such as The Mango Shop which has everything from lollipops to alligators to toys. And mangos, obviously. She carries her baby worms (feed bag twine) around the yard, feeds the sugar ants out in the garden, and chases the ducks around the pasture.

Yesterday I shoveled goat, horse, and chicken shit all morning. In the afternoon I plunged a low pressure toilet.

The day before yesterday, one of the dogs came out of nowhere to save me from those damn turkeys.
